Frequently Asked Questions

How is The Wellington protecting residents during the COVID-19 pandemic?

The health and well-being of residents is paramount. Once open, The Wellington will be implementing social distancing rules, requiring guests to schedule visits where they will be screened before entry, and maintaining a stringent cleaning & disinfecting schedule. A full explanation of all COVID-19 precautions can be found here: Responding to the COVID-19 Virus.

What are the differences between Independent Living, Assisted Living, and Memory Care?

Independent living allows our seniors to remain independent and maintain their lifestyle with a blend of community and a peaceful haven to call home. Assisted Living offers a high level of customized services and support to seniors who need help with the activities of daily living to maintain their dignity and a quality of life that they deserve. Memory Care is a special neighborhood for residents suffering from Alzheimer’s or other dementia-related illnesses. Memory Care offers safety, comfort and appropriate social interaction where each resident is cared for and treated with respect and compassion.

Are meals included?

Freshly prepared meals are available every day for our residents and are included in the cost of rent. There are also ready-to-eat snacks available during off-hours, when the dining room is not serving meals.

Is transportation available or do residents need a car?

Our goal is for residents to maintain or regain as much independence as possible. While residents are welcome to keep their cars, The Wellington provides a bus and a car for scheduled outings and appointments.

What does it cost to live at The Wellington?

We understand that financial obligations are a large part of choosing a senior living community. At The Wellington, each neighborhood offers a variety of customizable options and choices to best suit your budget. There are VA benefits available to certain Veterans and Surviving Spouses to assist in paying for your cost of living. Additionally, a portion of the rent may also be tax-deductible as a medical expense. You’ll find that the costs of living at The Wellington are much more financially feasible when compared to living by yourself or in higher-needs communities.
